Our Commitment
SWFL Amusements believes everyone should be able to access information about our rental equipment, pricing, and services. We are actively working to improve the accessibility of this website and our on-site event experience for all guests, including those with disabilities.
Current State of This Website
This website was built in phases over approximately 2.5 years. It has not undergone a formal WCAG 2.1 accessibility audit. A basic review of three representative pages (home, contact, and a product page) identified the following specific issues we are working to address:
- No skip-to-main-content link. Keyboard-only users must tab through the full navigation menu on every page before reaching page content.
- Missing semantic landmark elements. Page content sections use generic
<div>elements rather than semantic HTML landmarks such as<main>and<footer>, limiting screen reader navigation efficiency. - Unlabeled social media icon links. The social media links in the site footer (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok) use icon-only graphics with no text content and no
aria-labelattribute. Screen readers cannot announce the destination of these links. - Heading order inconsistency. On at least one product page, the heading hierarchy skips from H1 directly to H3, disrupting heading-based navigation for screen reader users.
- Insufficient image alt text on product pages. Some product images use placeholder alt text (e.g., "Photo 1") that does not describe the visual content of the image.
- Color contrast below WCAG AA on some elements. The orange color (#FF6B35) used on certain interface elements against a white background has a measured contrast ratio of approximately 2.85:1, below the WCAG AA minimum of 4.5:1 for normal-sized text and 3.0:1 for large text.
- Malformed form markup on the Contact page. A submit button is nested inside a
<label>element, which is invalid HTML and may produce unpredictable behavior with assistive technology.
This list reflects findings from a surface-level review only. Additional issues may exist across the full site that have not yet been identified.
On-Site Event Accessibility
Many of our inflatable rentals require climbing, jumping, or balance and may not be suitable or safe for all guests. We are happy to talk through your event in advance to discuss equipment layout, quieter options, and any accommodations we can reasonably make. Contact us before you book if you have specific questions.

Third-Party Content
Our website uses third-party embeds and integrations including Google Maps, our online booking and payment processor, YouTube videos, and social media widgets. These third-party tools are outside our direct control and may not meet the same accessibility standards we are working toward. We cannot guarantee the accessibility of third-party content.
Ongoing Improvements
We are reviewing this site on a periodic basis and plan to commission a formal accessibility audit. As improvements are implemented, this statement will be updated to reflect the current state of the site. We do not have a fixed compliance date to report at this time.
